London Congestion Charge and ULEZ 2026: a home-service access guide.

London road charges can affect a home-service visit when a vehicle enters the relevant zone during charging hours. Hausio shows its applicable £18 Central London access charge separately so it is visible before booking.

Congestion Charge in 2026

Transport for London lists the Congestion Charge as £18 when paid in advance or on the day. Charging hours are 07:00–18:00 Monday to Friday and 12:00–18:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays. The charge does not operate during the published Christmas-to-New-Year suspension.

The zone is a defined central-London area, so a postcode alone should not be used as a guarantee that an address is inside or outside it. TfL's official Congestion Charge checker and guidance is the correct source for a specific address.

ULEZ is a separate scheme

ULEZ operates across all London boroughs, 24 hours a day except Christmas Day. It applies only when a vehicle does not meet the required emissions standard. A compliant vehicle does not pay the daily ULEZ charge.

That distinction matters: the £18 Hausio access charge for applicable central-London work should not be described as a ULEZ charge for a compliant van. It reflects the Congestion Charge and the access planning associated with a central job.

How the charge appears in a Hausio estimate

• The access charge is displayed as its own line where applicable.
• It is not presented as a discount on later moving hours.
• Parking, permits or unusual loading restrictions are assessed separately when the address requires them.
• The service rate and booking minimum remain visible alongside any access charge.

What to send before a London visit

Provide the complete postcode and building or estate name, the preferred arrival time, parking instructions and any loading-bay or concierge restrictions. For a move, say whether the van can stop near the entrance and whether lifts must be reserved.
